Natsuki Fukasawa's, pianist, music career has taken her throughout U.S. cities as well as to Europe, Scandinavia, Israel, Australia, Japan and China in the role of both soloist and chamber musician. As a founding member of the award-winning Jalina Trio, Natsuki has won many accolades and international prizes, including a January 2006 rave review in Fanfare magazine and the Best Chamber Music Recording of the Year from the Danish Music Awards.
Natsuki's recent highlights include a tour of Italy performing Gershwin's Concerto in F, as well as performances of Beethoven's 3rd Piano Concerto with the Sacramento Philharmonic and Rachmaninov 2nd Piano Concerto with the Camellia Symphony. During this season, she will perform Beethoven Triple Concerto with the Folsom Symphony as well as Chopin Piano Concerto No. 2 with Merced Symphony. She will also be enjoying collaboration with many musicians through chamber music programs and a recording project. Early in 2011, she will be making an extended visit to Hong Kong where she will be adjudicating for Hong Kong Music Schools.
Natsuki is on the artist faculty for the Orfeo International Music Festival (formally Schlern) in the Italian Alps, and Calcap Chamber Music Workshop. She has also taught at Sacramento State as well as at St. Mary's College of Moraga. She is a Fulbright Scholar and has earned her degrees from New York's Juilliard, Prague Academy in Czech Republic and University of Maryland.
Natsuki records for Classico and Da Capo labels and her career is noted in the World of Women in Classical Music and Who's Who in America.
