St. James Concert Series

SIERRA MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP AUDITIONS

This Sierra Music Scholarship Fund fund is made possible through the support of the St. James Concert Series, the Bach Festival, and from private individuals. The fund was created to provide financial aid to classical music students, ages 10 to 20, living in Tuolumne County and adjacent communities. Scholarship funds are available to both vocal and instrumental music students. A scholarship may be given, upon completion of a written application, teacher recommendation, and audition, to help further a student’s education and training in his or her particular musical field. Applicants should demonstrate dedication to the pursuit of advanced musical training and view music as an integral part of his or her future. Any scholarship monies awarded will be paid directly to the teacher 

Teachers and students should please carefully read the requirements page before filling out the application forms. We encourage all of our local music teachers to recommend this worthwhile opportunity to their students.

Next year's auditions will be held at St. James' Episcopal Church on TBD, 2008. 

Applications must be received no later than TBD, 2009

Four scholarships will be awarded for 2009.
Two for ages 10-14  in the amount of $200 each and
two for ages 15-20 in the amount of $300 each.
